What You’ll Do
Sunco is going through exciting growth and we are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Inventory Analyst to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with various stakeholders around the company (CA & GA) to maintain accurate inventory records for two warehouses, analyze inventory processes, and improve our overall inventory management system and processes. This role demands a proactive, analytical approach to solving complex inventory issues and optimizing warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular cycle counts and wall-to-wall inventory audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of the warehouse inventory.
- Analyze data to identify and address defects in inventory processes, pinpoint causes and develop strategies to mitigate future issues.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Manage FIFO (First In, First Out) controls and oversee product versioning to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Handle returned goods, ensuring efficient processes are in place for inspection, sorting, and restocking or disposal.
- Oversee supplies replenishment, repackaging, and rehabilitation processes, coordinating closely with the supply chain and inventory control teams to ensure timely execution.
- Implement and maintain inventory trust and accuracy measures, including execution by the warehouse for effective inventory tracking and reporting.
- Utilize ABC inventory analysis to strategically manage stock levels and optimize warehouse space.
- Assist in the identification and segregation of nonconforming or suspect materials, supporting MRB processes and maintaining proper quarantine controls.
- Identify errors and inefficiencies in inventory workflows and develop corrective actions to improve processes and reduce waste.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in inventory analysis or a similar role within a warehouse setting.
- Certification in forklift operation and safety.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and methodologies, including ABC inventory classification.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct detailed data analysis to understand and resolve issues.
- Ability to work autonomously and as a self-starter, with a keen eye for improving processes and operational efficiency.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, capable of writing clear and comprehensive SOPs.
- Experience in managing product versioning and returned goods in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with FIFO controls and the impact of inventory management on overall workflow.
