1st Shift Production Supervisor

About the Role

We’re looking for a results‑driven Production Supervisor to lead our 1st shift team in a fast‑paced metal fabrication environment. You’ll oversee daily operations, drive productivity, and ensure orders ship on time — all while fostering a safe, high‑performance culture. This role is critical to keeping production running smoothly and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily production to meet output goals and customer requirements
• Analyze production metrics to identify trends and implement improvements
• Monitor workforce productivity and allocate labor to maintain flow
• Schedule shifts and manage staffing based on forecasts
• Track hours and time‑off while ensuring compliance with labor regulations
• Coach and develop team members through feedback and performance evaluations
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all procedures are followed
• Investigate safety or production issues and implement corrective actions
• Oversee quality control to ensure products meet specs
• Collaborate with shipping/logistics to ensure on‑time delivery
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and streamline processes

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing
• Strong understanding of production metrics, labor management, and workflow optimization
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality assurance best practices
