Position Overview
Super Steel is seeking an entry-level Quality Clerk / Quality Assistant to support our Quality Department with data entry, documentation, and backlog reduction. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
The position begins with paperwork and digital record management, with opportunities to shadow Quality Technicians on the production floor and grow into a more technical quality role.
Responsibilities
- Enter inspection data, NCRs, and production records with accuracy
- Maintain and organize quality documentation, logs, and spreadsheets
- Support backlog reduction by processing outstanding paperwork and digital files
- Update Excel-based tracking tools used by the Quality team
- Shadow Quality Technicians to learn inspection processes and provide floor support
- Communicate with production, welding, and assembly teams to gather missing information
- Assist with continuous improvement of documentation and data workflows
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage and organize large volumes of paperwork and digital files
- Solid data entry skills
- Strong communication and follow-up abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, or welding environments
- Exposure to quality systems, inspection processes, or NCR documentation
- Familiarity with production documentation or quality terminology
