We’re on the lookout for talented Senior Android Engineers to join our team and help shape the future of our product. You’ll have the opportunity to bring beautiful designs to life through clean, reusable, and maintainable code, contribute to feature development from day one, and work closely with a passionate and diverse team of engineers, product managers, and designers.
You will be working to enhance the features within the product, driving how we engage, retain and reward our loyal customers. Our app is global and reaches millions of users monthly. Working on an app of this scale creates interesting and complex challenges relating to scalability, reliability, legal and security. Every squad plays a key role in delivering seamless, secure, and engaging user experiences — and your work will directly impact how we stand out in a highly competitive market.
What you'll be doing:

Develop and maintain reusable, maintainable, and high-quality code for our Android applications.

Ensure code is optimised for performance, scalability, and security.

Collaborate closely with the product team to conceptualise, design, and implement new features and innovative experiments.

Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, providing technical insights to shape product ideas.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our technology stack, adopting best practices and exploring new tools and frameworks.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience in Android app development with a strong portfolio of applications.
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin, and a deep understanding of Android SDK.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
- Excellent knowledge of architectural and design patterns.
- Strong experience working with Git versioning tools.
- Commitment to code quality, testing, and documentation.
Bonus points:
- Familiarity with Rx and coroutines for asynchronous programming.
- Experience with dependency injection frameworks.
- Proficiency with Jetpack Compose for modern UI development.
- Strong skills in benchmarking and optimisation to enhance app performance.
