Digital Agronomy Specialist

Position Summary:

To support this mission, Syngenta’s Crop Protection Team is seeking Digital Agronomy Specialist in Pretoria, South Africa. This is a 12 months fixed term role that will be responsible for leading the strategy for adoption and growth of digital agronomy services in the region, engaging with key stakeholders to drive implementation and success. The successful candidate will provide support to clients using Syngenta’s farm management and field monitoring platform.

Accountabilities:

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote adoption of digital solutions
• Conducting regular stakeholder analysis and engagement planning
• Organizing and leading workshops, demonstrations and training sessions to showcase the value of digital agronomy services
• Onboarding new users onto the platform, setting up their accounts and providing training on how to use the platform
• Visiting farms to draw up field boundaries, gather field boundary data and inputting it into the platform
• Providing ongoing support to users, answering questions and troubleshooting any issues that they may have
• Supporting the current Cropwise team on an ad-hoc basis
