Job Overview

Role Purpose

The Production Executive is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, efficient, and quality-focused production operations during the assigned shift. The role is accountable for supervising production employees, supporting plant HSE requirements, ensuring timely completion of scheduled production within approved quality criteria, and delivering agreed departmental KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with HSEQ requirements, the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006, the Syngenta Code of Practice, company policies, and applicable safety procedures on the shop floor.
  • Supervise, guide, and motivate the production team to deliver routine and exceptional work in line with operational priorities.
  • Ensure timely management reporting, accurate SAP transactions, and active participation in relevant team meetings.
  • Achieve departmental KPIs related to productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale on a monthly basis.
  • Drive Manufacturing Excellence, continuous improvement, and SMART Manufacturing initiatives within the production area.
  • Prepare, monitor, and control the departmental budget in alignment with business requirements.
  • Lead or support departmental capacity enhancement, infrastructure improvement, and HSEQ improvement projects as assigned.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance for routine maintenance, overhauling activities, and autonomous maintenance of production machinery.
  • Support production planning and guide the production team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
  • Establish and maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized workplace in accordance with Syngenta protocols and good manufacturing practices.
  • Investigate HSEQ incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions in a timely manner.
  • Manage production team leave, overtime, and expense claims accurately and within the required timeline.
  • Work with the Line Manager to analyze job orders, define production tasks, and develop shift-wise production schedules.
  • Ensure all products and processes meet approved quality criteria, including specification compliance, in-process checks, documentation accuracy, and release requirements before handover or dispatch.
  • Plan and manage shift requirements, including manpower allocation, shift handover, attendance, overtime control, and continuity of operations across day, night, weekend, or holiday shifts as required.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management in line with business needs.
