As the Clinical Director of Adult Medicine, you will be at the forefront of clinical leadership within our organization. This role involves overseeing and coordinating the delivery of high-quality care to adult patients, ensuring the implementation of evidence-based practices across the medical team. Your responsibilities will encompass strategic planning, operational management, and fostering professional development among staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the clinical team to ensure effective patient care and operational efficiency.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical policies and procedures to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- The willingness and ability to deliver high quality patient care in an efficient manner
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and facilitate quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor patient care quality and safety metrics, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to build a skilled and motivated clinical workforce.
- Conduct regular clinical audits to evaluate the standards of care and implement necessary changes.
- Engage with patients and their families to address concerns and promote shared decision-making in their care plans.
- Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote adult medicine services.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through professional development and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine or related specialty.
- Must have Physician License in Connecticut
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in adult medicine, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality improvement processes, and clinical best practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and data analysis for performance monitoring.
- Commitment to fostering a positive work environment and maintaining high morale among the healthcare team.
- Current certification in BLS and ACLS.
- Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
