Clinical Director of Adult Medicine

As the Clinical Director of Adult Medicine, you will be at the forefront of clinical leadership within our organization. This role involves overseeing and coordinating the delivery of high-quality care to adult patients, ensuring the implementation of evidence-based practices across the medical team. Your responsibilities will encompass strategic planning, operational management, and fostering professional development among staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the clinical team to ensure effective patient care and operational efficiency.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical policies and procedures to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• The willingness and ability to deliver high quality patient care in an efficient manner
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and facilitate quality improvement initiatives.
• Monitor patient care quality and safety metrics, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
• Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to build a skilled and motivated clinical workforce.
• Conduct regular clinical audits to evaluate the standards of care and implement necessary changes.
• Engage with patients and their families to address concerns and promote shared decision-making in their care plans.
• Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote adult medicine services.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through professional development and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or related specialty.
• Must have Physician License in Connecticut
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in adult medicine, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality improvement processes, and clinical best practices.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and data analysis for performance monitoring.
• Commitment to fostering a positive work environment and maintaining high morale among the healthcare team.
• Current certification in BLS and ACLS.
• Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
