Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Workday Report Writer with over 5 years of hands-on experience in creating and managing advanced Workday reporting solutions. You will play a key role in delivering actionable business insights by leveraging advanced reporting techniques, calculated fields, Discovery Boards, dashboards, and strong stakeholder engagement. Exceptional data analytics, business analysis, and communication skills are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced and composite Workday reports to support diverse business requirements.
- Build and optimize complex calculated fields to enable sophisticated data insights and analytics.
- Create and manage Discovery Boards and dashboards for dynamic and interactive visualization of HR and business data.
- Gather and document business reporting needs by working closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Utilize strong data analytics skills to interpret, validate, and present findings that drive data-informed decision-making.
- Act as a business analyst, translating business needs into practical reporting deliverables and supporting ongoing reporting initiatives.
- Train users, create clear documentation, and provide ongoing support for reports and analytics tools.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and quality standards in all reporting activities.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of dedicated experience as a Workday Report Writer, with emphasis on advanced and composite reporting, calculated fields, dashboards, and Discovery Boards.
- Proven advanced reporting skills, including building complex Workday reports tailored to operational and strategic business needs.
- Strong business analysis experience, with the ability to clearly communicate technical solutions to business users.
- Demonstrated expertise in data analytics and visualization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Attributes
- Exposure to additional Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Talent, or Finance.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level reporting and analytics in a fast-paced environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset; up-to-date on Workday reporting enhancements and features.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in CIS (Computer Information Systems) or MIS (Management Information Systems) Or Data Analytics, Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline (preferred).
• Minimum years of related experience required: 5+ supporting/delivering complex IT solutions
• Preferred years of related experience: 7+ supporting/delivering complex IT solutions
