Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled L2 Support Engineer with hands-on experience in HPE
ProLiant servers, VMware, and Linux OS administration. This role requires strong
troubleshooting, server configuration, and maintenance capabilities, along with experience in
enterprise IT infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong
understanding of HPE server tools, RAID configurations, firmware updates, and remote
server management via iLO.
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy, configure, and maintain HPE ProLiant DL/ML/BL series servers.
Manage VMware vSphere/ESXi environments, including provisioning and virtual
machine lifecycle.
Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
Perform RAID configuration and storage management using HPE Smart Array
Controllers.
Utilize iLO (Integrated Lights-Out) and HPE OneView for server monitoring and
remote management.
Conduct firmware and driver updates using HPE Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP)
and Intelligent Provisioning.
Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues including hardware failures, memory
faults, and performance bottlenecks.
Perform hardware diagnostics and log analysis (IML, AHS) to ensure optimal
server health.
Work with tools such as HPE Insight Control, Smart Storage Administrator (SSA),
and InfoSight for server management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support compute infrastructure in a hybrid
IT environment (on-prem/cloud).
Participate in incident and change management processes as per ITIL standards.
Must-Have Technical Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with HPE ProLiant Gen10/Gen10+ servers.
Experience with VMware (ESXi, vCenter) – L2 level.
Proficiency in Linux system administration.
Knowledge of RAID levels and storage management.
Experience using HPE iLO, OneView, Intelligent Provisioning, and SPP.
Understanding of Silicon Root of Trust, Persistent Memory, and firmware
validation processes.
Familiarity with TPM (Trusted Platform Module) and ability to check its status via
OS.
