RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Design, analyze, and develop advanced mechanical systems, ensuring adherence to high-performance and reliability standards

Conduct investigations to develop new applications for mechanical equipment and systems, applying advanced analytical methodologies
-
Lead research efforts and technical briefings to capture new business opportunities through innovative mechanical engineering solutions
-
Evaluate and modify existing mechanical systems to improve efficiency, eliminate malfunctions, and adapt to evolving operational requirements
-
Provide technical leadership in estimating manpower, materials, and costs while developing and executing project schedules
-
Supervise and coordinate technicians in fabrication, installation, testing, and maintenance of complex mechanical and electronic equipment
-
Oversee field operations and direct maintenance activities to optimize mechanical system functionality and reliability
-
Develop, implement, and refine complex test procedures for equipment validation and performance enhancement
-
Guide and mentor engineering teams, ensuring design drawings comply with industry and company specifications
-
Review, write, and edit technical reports, including evaluation plans, test results, and operational manuals, to support engineering recommendations
-
Provide technical support to operational strategies aligned within your program and initiatives that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure quality across all program functions

Ensure 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded

Identify and forward to your leadership any opportunities that could lead to growth within your work area

Participate in growth efforts as requested

Ensure all contractual deliverables are met/exceeded to the customer's satisfaction

Complete personal PDP and attend Staff Meeting and Storytime (with camera on)

Within your program, build productive and positive professional relationships with clients
-
Execute all contract requirements as assigned in accordance with the contract-specific LCAT and requirements

Perform other related duties as assigned
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
-
Extensive expertise in mechanical system design, structural analysis, and thermodynamics, with proven experience in developing advanced engineering solutions
-
Strong background in supervising fabrication, testing, and installation of complex mechanical and electronic systems
-
Advanced proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design, modeling, and simulation of engineering systems
-
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives for long-term business growth
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Education and Years of Experience: Master’ s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 10 - 13 years of experience
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for performance optimization
-
Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, ISO, and other industry standards related to mechanical engineering and manufacturing
-
Background in automation, robotics, or mechatronics for integrating advanced mechanical systems
-
Hands-on experience with prototyping, machining, and assembly of mechanical components
-
Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills for coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and presenting complex engineering concepts
