Job Overview

Our firm is seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial, and forward-thinking Managing Principal to lead our San Antonio office. As a key member of our leadership team, the Managing Principal will be responsible for growing the San Antonio office, developing and nurturing client relationships, and providing strategic, operational, and design leadership. This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed architect who is deeply familiar with the San Antonio architecture and planning market and is eager to shape the future of a respected and growing firm.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Provide overall leadership and direction for the San Antonio office

·         Drive business development efforts in the local market, with a focus on building lasting client relationships and securing new project opportunities

·         Lead efforts to recruit, hire, and retain top talent to support the strategic growth and operational needs of the local office, building a high-performing team aligned with the firm’s culture and goals.

·         Lead and oversee architectural projects from pursuit through delivery, ensuring design excellence and client satisfaction

·         Collaborate with firm leadership across all offices to align local initiatives with firmwide strategic goals

·         Mentor, inspire, and support the professional growth of staff in the San Antonio office

·         Manage office operations, project profitability, and staffing in coordination with firm-wide leadership

·         Represent the firm in the community, including involvement in relevant professional, civic, and industry organizations

Requirements

·         Licensed architect with 15+ years of professional experience

·         Proven leadership skills and the ability to build and manage high-performing teams

·         Strong business acumen and experience with financial oversight, resource planning, and project management

·         Demonstrated success in business development, particularly in the San Antonio or greater Texas market

·         Deep knowledge of the architecture and planning landscape in San Antonio

·         Excellent communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills

·         Passion for mentorship, team development, and fostering a positive office culture

·         Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities
