Job Overview

Hello! We're Teya.

Teya is a payment and software service provider, headquartered in London serving small, local businesses across Europe. Founded in 2019, we build easy to use, integrated tools that enable our members to accept payments and boost business performance.

At Teya we believe small, local businesses are the lifeblood of our communities.

We’re here because we don’t believe there’s a level playing field that gives small businesses with a fighting chance against the giants of the high street.

We’re here because we see banks and legacy service providers making things harder for them. We don’t think the best technology or the best service should be reserved for those with the biggest headquarters.

We’re here to fight for a future where small, local businesses can thrive, and to commit the same dedication they offer all of us.

Become a part of our story.

We’re looking for exceptional talent to join our mission. We offer a chance to create impact in a high-energy and connected culture, while benefiting from continuous learning opportunities, a supportive community which is proud to serve our mission, and comprehensive benefits.

Your Mission
Loyverse is one of Teya’s key product lines — a global SaaS platform that helps small businesses run smarter through powerful POS and business management tools. We’re growing fast and expanding our reach across Europe and beyond. To keep pace, we’re hiring a People & Talent Lead to own the full people agenda for the Loyverse business from hiring and onboarding through to performance, engagement, and growth.

This is a standalone, end-to-end role for someone who thrives in fast-moving, entrepreneurial settings. You’ll act as a strategic partner to the Loyverse leadership team while also being hands-on in building the systems and processes that help the business scale. You’ll sit within Teya’s central People organisation, but day to day, you’ll be fully embedded in Loyverse, working closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to ensure we have the right people, structure, and culture in place to deliver on our roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with the Loyverse leadership team to define and execute a people strategy that supports growth, capability, and performance.

  • Lead end-to-end hiring across key functions, ensuring we attract, select, and onboard great talent quickly and effectively.

  • Own people operations for Loyverse which includes contracts, onboarding, mobility, and general HR lifecycle activities, with support from Teya’s central People team.

  • Coach and support managers on leadership, feedback, and performance management.

  • Design and drive engagement and development initiatives that build a strong, cohesive team culture across distributed locations.

  • Use data and insight to anticipate people needs and influence key decisions from headcount planning to retention strategies.

  • Act as a connector between Loyverse and Teya, ensuring alignment on policies, principles, and people practices while adapting them for the unique needs of the product team.

Requirements

  • Experience as a People Partner or People/Talent Lead in a product-led or tech environment, ideally within a scale-up or high-growth business.

  • A blend of strategic and operational skills — equally comfortable defining people strategy and getting things done yourself.

  • Strong recruitment expertise — you know how to identify and engage exceptional talent.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — you build trust quickly and influence with credibility.

  • Pragmatism and problem-solving ability — you find a way forward even when the path isn’t clear.

  • Curiosity, adaptability, and the drive to build — you thrive in environments where the playbook doesn’t yet exist.

Loyverse sits at the intersection of Teya’s vision to empower small businesses. We’re scaling a product used by merchants globally, with a team that’s talented, ambitious, and growing fast. This role gives you a seat at the table as we shape the future of one of Teya’s most exciting business lines. You’ll get exposure to senior leadership, global growth, and the opportunity to build something meaningful, with the full backing of Teya’s broader People organisation.

The Perks

  • We trust you, so we offer flexible working hours, as long it suits both you and your team;

  • Physical and mental health support through our partnership with GymPass giving free access to over 1,500 gyms in the UK, 1-1 therapy, meditation sessions, digital fitness and nutrition apps;

  • Our company offers extended and improved maternity and paternity leave choices, giving employees more flexibility and support;

  • Cycle-to-Work Scheme;

  • Health and Life Insurance;

  • Pension Scheme;

  • 25 days of Annual Leave (+ Bank Holidays);

  • Office snacks every day;

  • Friendly, comfortable and informal office environment in Central London.

Teya is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or background can thrive and do their best work. We believe that a diverse team leads to better ideas, stronger outcomes, and a more supportive workplace for all.

If you require any reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process whether for interviews, assessments, or other parts of the application—we encourage you to let us know. We are committed to ensuring that every candidate has a fair and accessible experience with us.
