About the role
As part of our continued expansion across the Asia-Pacific region, we are seeking a seasoned Delegate Acquisition Executive B2B Events to join our growing events and audience engagement team. You’ll work across leading brands such as CRN and Computing, alongside our marketing team helping to recruit senior-level delegates for our in-person and virtual events.
This role is ideal for a professional who thrives on building meaningful relationships, understands the nuances of executive engagement, and is passionate about delivering high-quality audiences for conferences, roundtables, and leadership forums.
What you'll do
- The acquisition of senior-level delegates to attend our roundtables and conferences through researching, sourcing, cold calling, email marketing and cross-selling
- Speaking to prospective delegates with knowledge about the event, topic areas and speakers
- Vetting hosted delegate applications based upon set criteria
- Share feedback with stakeholders on what our senior audience wants to hear about at our events
- Prepare regular updates to share with the delegate, event and project team to keep them informed of progress
- Maintaining the database including updating information
- Liaising with confirmed delegates to ensure event attendance and participation via calendar invites, bespoke emails, mail mergers and telephone calls
- Managing clients on-site to help deliver outstanding customer satisfaction
- Maintaining contact with your network to maintain a trusted relationship with key decision-makers
- Attending conferences, meeting and greeting delegates and networking over the day in order to build and retain relationships.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in audience development, delegate acquisition, or stakeholder engagement or similar experience in relationship development.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and goal-driven with strong attention to detail.
- Commercially aware with strong research and outreach capabilities.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in an Asian language (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Bahasa) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally across Asia-Pacific (e.g., Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan).
- Legally permitted to work in Australia
