US Tax Preparer

Client is a successful, public accounting and tax firm located in Roswell, GA. We are looking for a full-time Tax Preparer to join our team. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
· Prepare moderate to complicated corporate and personal tax returns
· Income Tax Projections and Tax Planning
· Analyze IRS notices and draft responses
· Perform Income tax research
· Perform accounting functions, including records adjusting general journal entries, analyzing accounts, overseeing fixed asses and depreciation, and completing trial balance to prepare tax returns
· Contribute to the client service team by producing attentive service interacting closely with clients
· Strong working knowledge of payroll, sales tax, and property tax returns
Requirements
Required Experience / Education:
· Certified Public Accountant preferred, but will accept other applicants with considerable experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
· Master’s Degree in Taxation or Master’s in Professional Accounting preferred
· 5+ years current experience in a public accounting firm
· Strong computer skills are a necessity including: Microsoft Office Suite *Excel, Word, and Outlook) and CCH ProSystem fx
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- QuickBooks or other accounting software knowledge is helpful but not required
- Self-motivated, able to work independently to complete recurring tasks
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Must possess excellent communication skills with high standards of excellence
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Experience in a tax or law firm is preferred, but not required
