About the Role:
The Accounting Manager leads the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective team performance. This role is both strategic and hands-on, managing full-charge accounting work—including journal entries, reconciliations, and quarterly/year-end cleanups—while reviewing and mentoring the accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full accounting cycle, including debits, credits, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Manage and review the work of supervisors, and accountants to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform quarterly and annual general ledger cleanups and ensure books are audit-ready.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing, review financial statements, and prepare management reports.
- Train, coach, and evaluate the accounting team to ensure consistent application of accounting standards.
- Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures.
- Collaborate with leadership on process improvements and financial best practices.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including atleast 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
