We are seeking an experienced Chef to lead our kitchen team. Our menus are inspired by the great cuisines of the
world utilizing local and regional ingredients. At Kome, we celebrate all food and strive to be recognized as one of
Curacao’s best dining experiences. KOME brings a unique concept to Curacao with a chef driven menu, professional service, in-house baking program and a commitment to green practices. Our bar offers signature cocktails and hand selected wines to enjoy in our
one-of-a-kind dining room. In addition to producing good cuisine, the Chef de Cuisine is responsible for maintaining a thriving and profitable kitchen. Managing labor and food cost are pivotal functions along with planning, organizing, training, and leading our
team to achieve the upmost best to ensure employee retention, guest satisfaction, product quality, and cleanliness
which Kome is recognized for amongst the community and our hospitality industry.
What you will do:
• Cook Food! Our Chefs are the creative force in the kitchen, hands on cooking with the team is required
• Maintain the consistency and deliciousness of all menu items
• Develop recipes, new menus and specials to enhance our guest experience whole
• Monitor food cost and pricing to meet goals
• Hire, train, teach, mentor and lead kitchen personnel
• Schedule employees to meet the demand of business and monitor labor costs
• Standardize recipes and presentation techniques to ensure consistent quality
• Ensure proper equipment operation, maintenance and sanitation in the kitchen
