Job Overview

Are you a product leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution? Nielsen is seeking a Product Manager to help shape and scale the enterprise systems that power our global operations.

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in defining, developing, and delivering improvements to these platforms that address core operational needs and drive significant business impact. You will lead cross-functional teams from ideation through execution, ensuring our internal tools meet the demands of a global, data-driven organization — with a strong emphasis on robust product fundamentals, cost optimization, and AI-powered automation.

What You'll Do

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for enterprise platforms, aligning it with Nielsen's overall operational and business goals. Identify opportunities to consolidate fragmented tooling, reduce licensing costs, and unlock automation across workflows. Lead build-vs-buy assessments, evaluating total cost of ownership, integration complexity, and long-term scalability.
  • Roadmap Ownership: Own and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on strategic value, operational impact, and technical feasibility. Clearly communicate the roadmap to stakeholders across engineering, IT, operations, and senior leadership.
  • Requirements Definition: Translate user needs, business requirements, and technical capabilities into detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Write clear PRDs that enable engineering teams to ship with speed and quality.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with engineering, design, IT, operations, and vendor teams throughout the product lifecycle. Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. Facilitate effective communication and decision-making to ensure successful platform delivery.
  • Market & Customer Research: Conduct thorough discovery, stakeholder interviews, and workflow analysis to gain deep insights into user pain points, operational inefficiencies, and emerging platform capabilities.
  • Data-Driven Performance & Iteration: Define KPIs for platform health, adoption, and ROI. Monitor performance and leverage data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and guide future iterations. Comfort with analyzing and interpreting complex operational datasets is essential.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders — including platform vendors — effectively managing expectations, contract/roadmap alignment, and communicating product updates and progress.
  • Mentorship: Potentially mentor junior product managers, sharing best practices and contributing to the growth of the product team.
