Container Control and Administration Officer - 4 month fixed term contract

What You’ll Be Doing:

Your role will be varied, rewarding, and full of opportunities to make a real impact. You will provide a high level of customer service and professionalism in all dealings with clients, transporters, and external parties.

You will also:

• Enter Releases & acceptances in an agreed timeframe and maintain all assigned documentation and processes
• Provide timely and accurate information to transport operators and clients
• Complete ad hoc administrative tasks as required or requested
• Actively track depot FIFOs, working with Depot Management to minimize long-stays and FIFO failures
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist with all general queries, completing filing where required
• Conduct inwards and outwards dispatch for empty containers
• Process repair estimates and reports, and assist with general office 
• Facilitate administration relating to the VBS, actively monitoring incoming VBS Bookings to ensure the depot has sufficient stock to supply
• Advise transporters of delays and work with them to delay arrival or rebook where required
• Effectively coordinate the flow of all container movements booked through the VBS ensuing data integrity and adherence to process
• Make Hoist Drivers aware of any special requirements relating to incoming units
• Highlighting when units are returned after being rejected or require expedited processing
• Be the primary point of contact for Truck Drivers booking into the depot
• Proactively investigate and resolve any discrepancies and service failures as well as escalate truck delays and issues affecting the flow of containers or service delivery
