Hardware Engineer - Cellular IoT Product Development

As a hardware engineer at Tive, your responsibilities will include:

• Write design and test specifications for our products
• Actively contribute to device design through schematic design and reviews
• Select and qualify electronic components based on performance, cost, and availability
• Review mechanical designs and provide input on the look, feel, and real-world handling of our devices
• Work closely with external design and fabrication partners to ensure product performance and quality
• Help develop and refine our internal workflows, tooling and processes
• Assist our manufacturing teams with production testing
• Maintain our internal PLM system, keeping it up to date with new developments
• Work with firmware teams to align hardware and firmware features
• Collaborate with production partners around the globe. Some international travel is to be expected

Our ideal candidate has:

• BS/MS in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of professional experience in hardware development
• Solid understanding of electronics and components, ideally low-power and LTE-based designs
• Experience developing production-scale products (>1M units/year)
• Familiarity with common CAD/eCAD workflows and design practices
• A genuine interest in engineering, electronics and building high-quality products
