TOMRA is hiring a Senior accountant for its office in Senec, Slovakia.
As an important member of the TOMRA Recycling Finance & Administration team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our financial operations. We are looking for an experienced and proactive accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys driving improvements. In this role, you will oversee accurate accounting and reporting, ensure compliance with local legislation and group requirements, optimize financial processes, support the finance team, and work closely with stakeholders across the business to achieve our goals.
Key responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting in compliance with local legislation and TOMRA Group policies.
- Process and oversee invoices, payments, payroll, VAT, fixed assets, and other accounting transactions.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, coordinate inventories and reconciliations, and ensure alignment between records and physical assets.
- Coordinate monthly closings and statutory deadlines, ensuring accurate accounting documentation and financial records.
- Issue invoices, cash receipts, and other financial documents.
- Perform account reconciliations, inventories, statistical reporting, analyses, and trend evaluations.
- Support statutory financial statements, tax compliance, tax filings, and statutory reporting.
- Collaborate with auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Leadership
- Develop and maintain accounting guidelines, finance procedures, and internal policies in line with legal and Group requirements.
- Provide accounting expertise and guidance to Finance and non-Finance stakeholders.
- Identify and drive process improvements, system enhancements, and finance projects.
- Coordinate and prioritize work within the Finance & Accounting team.
- Act as a subject matter expert, resolving complex accounting issues and supporting team members.
- Train, mentor, and develop junior colleagues.
- Collaborate with TOMRA Finance teams and business stakeholders to implement best practices, resolve accounting matters, clean historical balances, and optimize processes.
- Provide management with regular updates on performance, risks, and key issues within the area of responsibility.
