Job Overview

Our client, a leader in the agricultural sector, is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven security superintendent based in Chisamba to oversee and manage comprehensive security operations across their farm units. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of personnel, protection of valuable assets, and maintaining the security of all farm operations while reporting directly to the Farm Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily security activities, ensuring effective implementation of security protocols.
  • Develop and implement security protocols and procedures tailored to the agricultural environment.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits on-site to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Lead and manage security staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to respond to emergencies and maintain daily operations.
  • Plan and conduct security drills and training for farm personnel.
  • Ensure security systems and measures are functioning properly.
  • Monitor and analyze security systems, CCTV footage, and alarm systems.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all security-related issues and incidents
  • Ensure you investigate security incidents, prepare reports on security activities and take appropriate remedial actions.

Requirements

  • A Diploma in Security Management or a related field. A Degree in Security Management in an an added advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, preferably in a similar setting (like agriculture, manufacturing or rural operations) is required.
  • Prior experience in Law Enforcement Agencies and Security Companies is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies and practices.
  • Awareness of Zambian laws related to security, labour and operations is important.
  • Certification in First Aid, CPR and emergency response is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and security management software.
  • Experience in developing and implementing security protocols.
  • Excellent leadership and staff management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive during emergencies or critical incidents.
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, as necessary.
  • Valid driver's license
