Job Overview

Our client, a leading global healthcare and crop science innovation company, is actively seeking a highly motivated individual to join their team as an assistant production warehouse technician. This role involves coordinating all warehouse activities (operational/distribution) to meet the seed availability and quality standards required. You will be responsible for coordinating stock movement in SAP from receiving raw product to the final goods stage and for the coordination of weekly stock counts and mass balancing of consumables. Furthermore, you will support the processing squads on a shift basis, utilizing SAP scanners and forklifts for stock movements.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Lead HSE efforts according to the company safety standards, focusing on legal compliance and identifying safety risks applying the HIRA methodology
  • Participate in compiling Risk assessments and Job safety analyses.
  • Actively record safety observation and near misses.
  • Participate in 5WHY problem solving, identifying corrective and preventative actions.
  • Actively promote the safety culture and best practices
  • Register and keep track of all finished/semi-finished product movements
  • Monitor stock to ensure proper warehouse storage and administration in accordance with company guidelines, procedures, and requirements for both the seed plant warehouse and external, rented warehouses.
  • Maintain the product quality stored in the internal and external facilities
  • Ensure that all required data is put into the information system and required reports are made on time.
  • Record all daily movements according to internal/external customer needs, safety norms, and quality requirements.
  • Conduct and coordinate duties of forklift drivers in order to ensure timely and accurate transportation of goods and materials within the plant.
  • Prepare and document material transfers following established procedures.
  • Maintain operational records as required by the QMS management & one PSS system.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and management systems.
  • Manage personnel to ensure excellence in housekeeping and stock control.
  • Complete documentation and reports regarding stock at the warehouse in a proper and timely manner.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and control of inventory on a regular basis to ensure minimal variance between SAP and physical stock.
  • Participate in/conduct inventory stock counts Utilize company resources in an efficient manner in order to control costs.
  • Supervise temporary/seasonal staff Support the implementation of onePSS in warehouses.
  • Manage operational KPIs through the production system platform onePSS.
  • Ensure carry-over samples are submitted for retesting.
  • Take control of fumigation and aerial spraying for all warehouses.

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Logistics/Distribution or Equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Distribution & Warehousing
  • Management Mandatory Computer Literacy
  • Knowledge of SAP inventory control
  • Preferably a logistics/warehouse management qualification
  • Forklift driver certification and license
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Results focused on ability to work on one's own initiative
  • Strong teamwork (flexibility to work across the areas and positively influencing others
  • Fluent in English
  • Establish clear direction and making decisions on a timely manner
  • SAP proficiency will be an advantage
  • Willing and able to work shifts when required
