Consumable Inventory Controller

Our client, a global healthcare and crop science innovation company, is looking to hire a consumable inventory controller. The Consumable Inventory Controller will actively coordinate the consumables and the supplying to the plant to ensure there is no downtime due to consumable supply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead HSE efforts according to ISO 45001 and safety standards, focusing on legal compliance and identifying safety risks applying the HIRA methodology
- Participate in compiling risk assessments and job safety analyses.
- Actively record safety observation and near misses
- Participate in 5WHY problem solving, identifying corrective and preventative actions.
- Adhere to all applicable legislation, safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to requirements of legal appointments
- Actively promote the safety culture and best practices
- Stock monitoring and management of all the consumables
- Maintain the product quality stored in the storage areas
- Ensure that all required data is put into the information system and required reports are made on time.
- Record all daily movements according to internal/external customer needs, safety norms, and requirements.
- Prepare and document material transfers following established procedures.
- Maintain operational records as required by the QMS management & onePSS systems.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and management systems set by ISO9001
- Manage personnel to ensure excellence in housekeeping.
- Complete documentation and reports regarding stock at the warehouse in a proper and timely manner
- Responsible for the monitoring and control of inventory on a regular basis to ensure minimal variance between SAP and physical stock.
- Participate in/conduct weekly inventory stock counts
- Utilize company resources in an efficient manner to control cost
- Comply with goals set forth for quality, reliability, and cost.
- Support the implementation of onePSS in warehouses.
- Manage operations through the production system platform onePSS.
- Support continuous improvement.
- Receive all consumable stock.
- Check that the stock corresponds with the invoices.
- Should there be any deviation, report to the supervisor?
- Count all the stock ones a week.
- Give the count to the logistics coordinator every week.
- Give out the stock to the processing.
- Make sure housekeeping is up to standard.
- Take control of the two assistant consumable controllers.
- To be involved with stock counts.
Requirements
- Minimum GCE Certificate
- Logistics/Warehouse Management Qualification is preferred.
- Must have Forklift driver certification
- 2–3 years’ experience in warehouse processes and management of inventory
- Prior proficient use of SAP software; QMS management & onePSS systems will be an advantage
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Results focused on ability to work on one's own initiative
- Strong teamwork (flexibility to work across the areas and positively influencing others)
- Fluent in English Establish clear direction and making decisions on a timely manner
