Yoga Instructor - Cliffs of Id

About the Role

Cliffs of Id is looking for a yoga instructor to join our team!

Monday availability highly preferred with open availability for substitution shifts

Responsibilities:

• In-depth knowledge of Vinyasa and/or Hatha Yoga principles, techniques, and sequencing.
• Strong ability to demonstrate and instruct safe and effective yoga postures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Adaptability to adjust classes based on participants' needs and feedback.
• Always seek explicit consent from participants before making any physical adjustments. Create an open line of communication, encouraging participants to voice their preferences and limitations. Respect their boundaries and honor their decisions.
• Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working condition; alert management if there are concerns
• Respond promptly and professionally to employer correspondence and diligently manage timecards

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge and expertise in Vinyasa and/or Hatha Yoga.
• Valid certification from a recognized yoga school (RYT-200 or higher preferred).
•  Proficiency in teaching and demonstrating yoga poses and sequences effectively
• Ability to modify and adapt poses and sequences for various skill levels, body types, and individual needs
• Excellent verbal communication and instruction skills to guide students through classes safely and effectively
• Knowledge of yogic philosophy, principles, and ethics
• Awareness of proper alignment and adjustments to prevent injuries and promote optimal practice
•  Continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest trends and research in yoga and related fields
•  Compliance with local regulations and legal requirements for teaching yoga and other fitness classes
• Available to reliably teach at the scheduled class times

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this role is:

$45 USD per hour Cliffs of Id
