POSITION OVERVIEW
TransGrid Energy is seeking an ambitious and passionate Associate Project Manager who will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of scheduling and cost management, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. The Project Manager will work closely across the TransGrid Energy team and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed from late-stage development through financial close and ultimately commercial operation; ensuring safe, quality, timely and on-budget execution by TransGrid Energy and third-party partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide updates and help manage the Project and Cost Management tools and processes for TGE’s portfolio.
Support in data collection, inquiries and reviews of the EPC Schedule of Values and project completion percentages and compare against the internal TGE budgets
Aid in coordination of stake holder meetings; maintain full understanding of compliance and deliverables for assigned projects
Review monthly progress reports from the EPC which are required to be submitted to the offtakers or any other 3rd parties related to the projects.
Provide updates and help manage the Project and Cost Management tools and processes for TGE’s portfolio.
Support project milestones tracking and help enforce the delivery of the project schedule from the EPC.
Support in data collection, inquiries and reviews of the EPC Schedule of Values and project completion percentages and compare against the internal TGE budgets.
Ensure all contractual obligations and timelines are met in accordance with the Interconnection Agreement (IA), Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), Interconnecting Utility Requirements / Guidelines, Financing Partners, etc.
Support in the preparation of the project contracts (EPC, Independent Engineer, Owner’s Engineer, etc.) assisted by legal counsel, Project Engineering, and Contract Managers.
Review and support all project contract evaluations, ensuring compliance with documentation submittals is maintained through the full life-cycle (EPCA, LTSA, Owner’s Engineer, Independent Engineer, etc.).
Review monthly progress reports from the EPC which are required to be submitted to the offtakers or any other 3rd parties related to the projects.
Communicate and track documentation requirements from all vendors and subcontractors.
Interface with stakeholders on all project related issues.
Gather project documentation updates for monthly project submittals to the IE relating to lender requirements.
Support in gathering background information for the weekly internal project meetings.
Prepare meeting agendas and capture meeting minutes
When required, fill in for the Sr. Project Manager on internal meetings.
As required, review project cashflows and validate percent complete in relation to construction status.
Support the Sr. Project Manager in holding the construction site team accountable.
Create folders and maintain the project files including budget, comprehensive project schedule, risk management, potential change orders, and contingency.
Travel to project sites as needed
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 2-3 years of project assistant experience in project management of utility scale solar and battery storage projects.
Strong understanding of project management principles, including schedule development, budgeting, cost control and contract management.
Experience reviewing project schedules and project budgets, as well as understanding of key project value levers (commercial, financial, etc.).
Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office Suite.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to successfully communicate in all situations with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills as well as results and detail oriented.
Ability to manage multiple projects/work streams, set priorities, and exercise independent judgment.
WORK AUTHORIZATION
The ideal candidate for this role will have authorization to work in the US prior to joining TransGrid Energy LLC. The Company will not sponsor or offer assistance with the sponsorship for work authorization in the United States.
