The Opportunity
Join a small, collaborative internal audit team where you’ll play a key role in strengthening governance, improving operations, and helping the organization make a meaningful impact. This role offers great opportunities for international travel, hands-on learning, and the chance to directly influence positive outcomes for people and communities.
Your insights will help improve services that directly affect people’s lives—making this a role with purpose, visibility, and real impact.
You will report to the Head of Internal Audit. The job opportunity will be offered on a fixed term contract for three years and is based in either Maynooth or Belfast. 1. This role does not include the management of staff.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver internal audits across a range of business areas, both independently and as part of a team.
- Assess risks, controls, and processes, including many non-standard processes, identifying opportunities to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide clear, well-supported reports and recommendations that drive improvement and support better outcomes for service users.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization to encourage transparency and continuous improvement.
- Support follow-up work to ensure agreed actions are implemented and delivering value.
- Contribute to the development of audit methodologies, tools, and best practices within a growing team.
- Travel to different sites/countries to conduct on-location reviews and deepen understanding of real-world operations.
