The London Cost Management Health team is highly regarded for delivering major healthcare projects across both the public and private sectors. The team works on a wide range of assignments, from smaller refurbishments to large-scale hospital developments. As part of a broader Health, Science & Education team, this role also offers opportunities to gain experience across additional sectors and develop a diverse range of skills.

Main Purpose of the Role

  • Deliver Cost Management services, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery or contributing as a key member of larger project teams on complex projects.
  • Support the achievement of client objectives through effective cost management from pre-contract stages through to project completion and handover.

Key Experience Requirements

  • Knowledge of, and experience within, the healthcare and/or education sectors.
  • Ability to guide clients through project stages from feasibility through to completion.
  • Experience working on projects delivered through two-stage tendering.
  • Experience administering JCT and NEC contracts.
  • Experience managing client and stakeholder relationships within a Cost Management environment.
  • Knowledge of the risks, challenges and opportunities facing public-sector healthcare organisations.
  • Experience producing and presenting monthly post-contract cost reports.
  • Experience managing procurement activities, including pre-qualification, tender enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation.
  • Ability to negotiate and agree final accounts effectively.
  • Knowledge of contract administration, value engineering and lifecycle costing.
  • Experience using CostX or similar measurement software.
