We are seeking a Payroll Clerk in our Talent and People Department in Fort Wayne, IN. This role will support payroll, onboarding, and employee coordination across the UFT platform of companies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced collaborative environment, onsite 5 days a week.

We are seeking a Payroll Clerk in our Talent and People Department in Fort Wayne, IN. This role will support payroll, onboarding, and employee coordination across the UFT platform of companies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced collaborative environment, onsite 5 days a week.
What you'll do:
- Assist with payroll processing for multi-state hourly and salaried employees
- Review and approve time and attendance records
- Manage multi-state tax registrations with state and local agencies
- Prepare and review monthly operational and financial reports
- Audit employee time-off policies and balances for accuracy and compliance
- Identify discrepancies and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues
- Lead new hire onboarding processes from start to finish
- Conduct new hire check-ins to support engagement and compliance
- Facilitate HR walkthroughs, including policy reviews and benefits overviews
- Audit Paylocity data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Respond to employee inquiries and ensure timely resolution
- Partner with Finance and Recruiting teams on daily operations
- Support HR leadership with administrative and operational tasks
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on company growth and needs
Background/ Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in HR and payroll
- Experience processing payroll across multiple states
- Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems (Paylocity preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Comfortable working on-site five days per week in Fort Wayne, IN
