Job Overview
At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Network and Infrastructure Technician to join our UniQue team.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Conduct full walkthroughs of all CSU Technical Rooms (TRs).
- Record and label CSU-owned equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, patch panels, racks, PDUs, UPS units).
- Capture details such as serial numbers, models, rack positions, and port assignments.
- Apply consistent labelling (IMS standards) and maintain clear LOC ID structures.
- Ensure TRs are orderly and accessible.
- Create and maintain a validated equipment dataset in PatchManager / CableSolve.
- Update and correct records, ensuring alignment between physical assets and database entries.
- Produce regular reports for CSU leadership and Configuration Management.
- Identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
- Assess TR power draw, redundancy, and cooling capacity based on installed equipment.
- Identify CSU dependencies on customer-provided services (power, UPS, generator, HVAC, monitoring).
- Define CSU’s minimum service expectations (uptime, response times, alarms).
- Consolidate findings into requirements reports for RSLA input.
- Provide structured technical input for RSLA drafting.
- Support audits, reviews, and progress reporting.
Requirements
What will you be bringing to the team?
- Vocational training at a higher technical level in a relevant discipline or High School Diploma with 5 years post-related experience
- Experience in Network Infrastructure
- Experience working in an infrastructure maintenance environment
- Experience in Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Graphics Presentation, E-mail clients/Web Browsing and MS Visio.
- Proficiency in English language at a B2 level.
- Hold NATO Security Clearance at Secret level or above.
