Abbey Real Estate is a privately owned real estate investment and asset management company based in Athens, managing a diversified portfolio of properties on behalf of its principals. This position is employed by Abbey Real Estate (not Union Maritime) and is based full time in Athens, Greece.

Role summary

The Real Estate Portfolio Manager is responsible for maximising the income and long term value of a diversified real estate portfolio by developing and delivering asset management and leasing strategies.

The role focuses on identifying underperforming assets, driving repositioning, leasing or divestment plans, and using market insight to spot new revenue and value creation opportunities.

It also oversees end-to-end leasing activity, ensures accurate lease and rent records, and builds strong relationships with agents, brokers and other partners to support acquisitions, leasing and ongoing portfolio performance.

Requirements

Portfolio Monetization & Asset Management

·        Develop and implement strategies to optimize the income and value of the real estate portfolio

·        Identify underperforming assets and propose repositioning, leasing, or divestment strategies

·        Monitor market trends to identify new revenue and value-creation opportunities

Leasing Management

·        Coordinate new lease agreements and renewals to ensure high occupancy and optimal rental terms

·        Negotiate commercial terms with tenants and ensure legal compliance in all contracts

·        Maintain accurate lease records, rental schedules, and payment tracking

Market Research & Opportunity Identification

·        Conduct regular market analysis to identify new investment or leasing opportunities

·        Evaluate local property trends, competitor movements, and regulatory changes affecting the portfolio

Network & Relationship Management

·        Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, brokers, property managers, and developers

·        Manage a network of external agents to support leasing, acquisitions, and market intelligence

·        Represent the company professionally in various forums

Qualifications & Experience

·        Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field

·        5+ years of experience in real estate asset management, leasing, or property development

·        Strong understanding of local property market dynamics and regulations

·        Proven experience in negotiation, lease administration, and portfolio optimization

·        Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills

·        Proficiency in MS Office; experience with property management software is an asset

·        Proficiency in English
