Position Summary
Join Medical Imaging at UHN, one of the largest academic medical imaging department in Canada! Our cutting-edge digital technology and dedicated team prioritize patient care and exceptional image quality. As an integral member of the Joint Department of Medical Imaging team you will perform various procedures at University Health Network with an opportunity to be trained in TWH and TGH Interventional Radiology.

Interventional Radiology is a state-of-the-art specialty that combines advanced imaging to perform life-changing, minimally invasive procedures across the whole body—transforming patient care without traditional surgery. Our department has a proud history of pioneering treatments and pushing medical boundaries to redefine what's possible.

The team is made up of nurses, medical radiation technologists, interventional radiologists, surgeons, and anesthetists who all work together to provide incredible patient care.

Duties

  • Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to perform Interventional Radiology procedures using advanced systems and equipment in accordance with applicable legislation, clinical standards and departmental procedures
  • Provide exceptional care to patients, families and caregivers while adhering to Medical Imaging department and UHN policies and best practices
  • Effectively communicate with inter-professional and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Work accurately, safely, and efficiently in a fast paced, high patient volume setting
  • Participate in professional development, teaching and educational activities, and mentoring, as required
  • Coordinate daily work schedule, prioritizes emergency/add-on cases, as required
