Model Making Internship – Amsterdam

As an international design firm, UNS is active across various fields of architecture and design. Our Amsterdam office is looking for model-making interns who want to participate as full team members, contributing to the creation of high-quality architectural models that support our design process.

What kind of tasks?

At UNS, physical models play a crucial role in visualizing and refining our designs. As a Model Making Intern, you will assist in:

• Constructing architectural models at various scales using different materials and techniques

• Experimenting with materials and fabrication methods

• Supporting the design teams by translating concepts into physical representations

• Assisting in 3D printing, laser cutting, and handcrafting detailed model components

What would be my impact as an intern?

As a Model Making Intern, your work will directly support the design process by turning ideas into precise physical models. These models help internal teams explore, refine, and communicate their concepts - which are often used in presentations to clients and collaborators.

By contributing to projects across different scales and typologies, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at how architecture is developed in a fast-paced, international design environment - and gain experience that's valuable for anyone interested in working at a high professional level in the field.
