About the role

As Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer within the UNS IT Team, you will be the bridge between strategic projects and the day-to-day operations that keep our global offices running smoothly. You don’t settle for quick fixes – you dig into root causes to design lasting improvements. From overhauling our virtual infrastructure to fine-tuning backups and automations, you will work across teams and time zones to elevate our IT services and enable smarter ways of working.

Responsibilities

1) Daily operations

• Implementing and improving our Hyper-V setup. Advising on and designing our Veaam backup system.

• Administering Windows Server services—NTFS permissions, DHCP scopes, and Group Policy structures.

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining on-site hardware (servers, racks, printers), and coordinating vendor support.

• Optimizing print services (e.g. Papercut) to ensure reliable, seamless printing.

• Streamlining Service Desk processes through Adaxes-based automations.

• Supporting network security by configuring FortiClient endpoints and FortiGate firewalls and Fortiswitches.

2) Projects

• Migrating our virtual environment from VMware to Hyper-V, while managing Active Directory domains and Group Policies.

• Automating routine workflows and service-desk tasks using PowerShell and Adaxes.

• Hardware selection, proposals and vendor coordination on various key elements of our IT infrastructure.
