The Position
As a (Sr.) Business Controller at UNS, you will have an influential role in shaping a sustainable and scalable financial structure of our growing organization. You drive both insight and efficiency.
UNS is constantly developing. The Finance department is no exception. We recently implemented a new PMS-system and are always looking for improvements in the system, process, reports and other ways we can contribute to the bigger picture. In your role as (Sr.)Business Controller, you are in the middle of these developments. With internal stakeholders such as studio directors, entity directors, MD and CFO, your contribution is directly visible within the organization.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the creation of new financial and operational standards in an environment where processes are evolving. As a (Sr.) Business Controller, you are part of the Control Team (5 members) within the broader Finance Team (approx. 13 members). Reporting directly to the Business Control Manager. You are able to work independently, but you are also driven by working in teams; within the finance department and outside the finance department. But most of all you enjoy helping and advising the entities and studios within the group.
As a (Sr.) Business Controller, you oversee the performance of entities, studios and projects. This is done by regular and incidental reports you (help to) provide. You serve as the point of contact for entity -, studio leaders and project managers on financial aspects. Topics addressed may include financial advice on rfp’s/contracts, project progress, potential risks and opportunities and financial performance. You have a hands-on mentality and are not reluctant to help with administrative tasks where necessary, such as drawing up invoice schedules and sales invoices in the PMS. Analytical skills and eye for detail are indispensable to ensure you understand the story behind the financial reports.
