Reporting to the Training Manager, the Work Placement Officer (VET) coordinates, supports, and enhances student work placements across relevant industries. As a Work Placement Officer, your duties will cover work placement coordination and student support, industry engagement and relationship management, compliance and quality assurance, training and resource development, monitoring and reporting, and cross-team collaboration to ensure positive placement outcomes.
Your key responsibilities include:
Supporting students before, during, and after work placements to ensure successful outcomes.
Coordinating placement allocations and maintain clear communication with students and hosts.
Building and managing strong relationships with industry partners to secure quality placements.
Monitoring placements, managing issues, and implementing strategies to support at-risk students.
Ensuring all placements meet VET compliance, WHS requirements, and training standards.
Assessing placement documentation, gathering feedback, and report outcomes to key stakeholders.
Attending staff meetings and undertaking other duties as required, aligned with your skills and training.
