About the role:

As an Electrical Tutor, you will guide learners through our pre-apprenticeship Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Engineering programme. Based at our purpose-built Trades campus, you’ll use your industry experience to deliver engaging learning through hands-on workshops, classroom teaching, and practical, real-world projects.

You’ll support students to grow in confidence while building the core skills and knowledge they need to enter the workforce. This is a great opportunity to bring your expertise into a dynamic teaching environment and help shape the future of the trades industry.

• Deliver high-quality, engaging theory and practical training in electrical pre-trade programmes
• Facilitate workshop-based learning, ensuring safe and effective use of tools and equipment
• Assess student performance in line with NZQA unit standards and moderation requirements
• Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and pastoral care to support student success
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment
• Contribute to continuous improvement of programme delivery and resources
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and NZ electrical regulations
