We are building a finance function that values accuracy, ownership, curiosity, and speed. This role is designed for someone who wants to learn by doing, develop strong financial discipline, and contribute directly to the way a fast-growing company operates. You will work closely with experienced finance leaders, gain exposure to real business decisions, and make a visible impact in a short period of time.
Responsibilities
Your core goal is to help keep Arc’s operational finance environment clean, accurate, and dependable.
Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding in the accounting system.
Support weekly payment runs under supervision.
Monitor overdue payables and help maintain timely processing.
Monitor incoming customer payments and match them to invoices.
Flag and follow up on overdue receivables in coordination with the finance team and relevant stakeholders.
Keep accounts receivable ledgers clean and up to date.
Take ownership of bi-weekly bank reconciliations across relevant entities and accounts.
Ensure bank transactions are correctly coded and matched, and escalate unresolved items quickly.
Process employee and card expenses in PayHawk, including receipt checks, coding, and VAT review where applicable.
Support the weekly close of cash, AP, and AR so accurate weekly positions can be produced.
Assist with month-end preparation through open-item overviews, aging lists, and reconciled balances.
Work daily in Excel, Exact Online, PayHawk, and banking portals, while supporting simple reporting and light dashboarding where relevant.

Compensation and Benefits
Internship allowance of €500 per month.
Office lunch.
Laptop provided.
Travel allowance where needed within the Netherlands.
Flexible placement in Utrecht, Groningen, Rotterdam, or elsewhere in the Netherlands, depending on candidate fit and office presence.
Start date ideally in early to mid-June.
Duration of 3 to 6 months, depending on candidate and business needs.
Minimum availability of 3 days per week, with a preference for mornings.
This role operates with clear guardrails: there is no final sign-off on payments, and all work is carried out under review and within the responsibility of the finance team.
