Veterinary Assistant

The Role

As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting patient care and ensuring the hospital runs smoothly in a fast-paced advanced general practice.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and procedures
• Supporting surgical and dental procedures (prep and recovery)
• Handling and restraining small animals (and occasional exotic patients)
• Assisting with patient intake, history collection, and basic care
• Cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining equipment and treatment areas
• Ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
• Communicating effectively with team members and clients

About You

• 2+ years of veterinary assistant experience preferred
• Ability to multitask in a high-caseload environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable handling animals safely and compassionately
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow

Schedule

• Full-time
• 10-hour shifts (7:30am–6pm or 8am–6:30pm)
• Saturday availability required once we open Saturdays

Compensation

• $24–$28/hour
