Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care and assist veterinarians and RVTs with examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Prepare patients for surgeries and procedures, including surgical prep, equipment setup, and anesthesia monitoring
- Safely restrain patients and perform clinical tasks, including IV catheter placement and administering injections
- Monitor hospitalized patients and ensure their comfort, safety, and overall well-being
- Assist with radiology, laboratory diagnostics, and other in-house procedures as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment and surgical environment
- Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to provide efficient, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital
About You
- Minimum 3 years Veterinary Assistant experience
- Strong communicator who demonstrates honesty, compassion, respect, and accountability
- Client-focused with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and collaborate with a large veterinary team
- Able to prioritize tasks and maintain a high standard of patient care in a busy hospital setting
