About the position:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Human Resources to lead our HR department. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader who can effectively manage HR operations, develop policies, and ensure alignment with our organizational goals. The Head of HR will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resource management across the US and Colombia including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, learning and development, and compliance with regulatory concerns.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Talent Management: Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
- Performance Management: Design and implement performance management frameworks and systems to support employee achievement and organizational effectiveness.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts, and helping resolve work-related problems.
- Policy Formulation: Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
- Compliance: Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management, mitigating risk and addressing any employment-related issues.
- Benefits Administration: Oversee compensation and benefits plans to ensure they are competitive and compliant with legal requirements.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Promote a diverse and inclusive workforce aligned with organizational values.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; a Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience as an HR leader with a minimum of 10 years in a HR role at a managerial level.
- Deep understanding of HR functions and ecosystem (talent management, recruitment, benefits, compliance, etc.).
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations in Colombia and the US
- Strong leadership skills and ability to foster inter-departmental relationships.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic thinking with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Attention to detail and extremely organized
- Competency in Microsoft Office / Google Suite applications and HR software (HRIS or HRMS).
- Fluent in English and extensive experience in working with US-based teams
