This position is considered a field position with an average amount of exposure to noise, dust fumes, etc., and requires frequent travel.

Position Description:
This position must resolve problems of limited scope and complexity. Typical responsibilities include:
- Conduct various types of surveying including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, subdivisions, construction stakeouts, etc.
- Oversee the daily operation of a survey crew
- Interpret maps, plats, construction drawings and specifications
- Document work performed and sketches
- Adhere to company standards for processing and storing data
- Perform various survey calculations
- Organize and maintain survey documentation
- Operate and maintain survey equipment
- Communicate project status to Project Managers and clients
- Research project information at the Registrar of Deeds
- Prepare forms and other paperwork in a timely manner
- Attend seminars and/or training classes
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
Skills/Experience:
- Construction Staking experience required
- Valid driver’s license required
- 5+ years eperience working in construction required
- MDOT experience preferred
