Job Overview

Why we are here
Tony’s Chocolonely is committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. We are an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes impact. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example, demonstrating that ethical practices and success can go hand in hand. Through Tony's Open Chain (TOC), mission allies like Albert Heijn, Ben & Jerry's, Jokolade, and Aldi have embraced a fairer, more transparent supply chain for their chocolate.

Now we are on the hunt for our new  E-commerce Intern to join our Homebase team in Amsterdam!   This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on sales experience within the e-commerce channel in a growing company, all while making a significant positive impact in the world of cocoa.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • Business insights: understand how an FMCG company runs, including the relevance of KPIs and departments, key processes, and influencing customer behaviour.

  • E-commerce: gain understanding of how a brand succeeds in an online environment and how to work with key e-commerce tools, such as Shopify and Google Analytics.

  • Sales: learn the sales process for online customers, build a customer focused mind and execute growth plans.

  • Stakeholder management: get insights into all features within e-commerce and learn how to work with customers to increase revenue, and how to work with our internal stakeholders.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Support smooth campaign or product launches (e.g. Christmas, Easter..) by being involved in the full campaign process: support with defining the campaign objectives for the online channels, creating the creative and copywriting brief, creating the content in Shopify and monitoring performance once it's live.

  • Support on improving our Shopify-based webshop and help optimize our customer journey based on UX insights, performance and customer pain points.

  • Support the team in their marketing and sales activities, for example by being involved in SEO optimizations or new feature developments.

  • Work with cross-functional teams (creative, brand comms, customer service) and market teams on a regular basis and support when needed
