The Sales Lead plays a key role in driving business growth and achieving revenue goals through strategic sales and marketing initiatives. This position involves leading the sales and marketing function for all school programs, products, and services under the B2B vertical. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in educational sales, marketing strategy, and relationship building with schools and institutional partners.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Sales, Marketing, Education Management, Business Development, or related fields from a recognized university.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Sales and Marketing, preferably within the education sector.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Values Education, Life Skills, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), or Character Education domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and oversee comprehensive sales and marketing plans for educational programs, products, and services.
- Define and manage sales goals and targets across product categories.
- Recruit, train, and mentor sales and marketing teams to achieve performance objectives.
- Build and maintain a robust database of schools across regions.
- Create business proposals, presentations, and contracts for institutional clients.
- Meet with school owners, directors, principals, and HODs to promote educational offerings.
- Negotiate and close deals to drive profitability and long-term partnerships.
- Represent the organization at educational conferences, exhibitions, and networking events.
- Establish partnerships with institutions, government bodies, and channel partners to expand reach.
- Oversee the design, delivery, and storage of promotional materials.
- Prepare and analyze sales and marketing budgets, reports, and presentations.
- Conduct market research on trends, competitors, and opportunities.
- Track and report sales and marketing metrics to top management.
- Manage relationships with vendors and partners related to sales and marketing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives.
- Travel frequently (up to 10 days per month) for client meetings and school visits.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven success in educational sales, with a network of at least 50+ school leaders (owners/directors/principals).
- Demonstrated record of achieving annual sales exceeding INR 50 lakhs.
- Strong command of MS Excel, Google Sheets, Docs, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Hands-on experience in educational outreach, seminars, and consulting.
- Up-to-date knowledge of modern and traditional marketing practices.
Additional Details:
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Probation Period: 3 months, followed by a performance review for confirmation.
- Notice Period: 2 months (applicable upon resignation).
- Must be willing to travel and work extended hours when required.
- Will be required to sign a confidentiality and service contract regarding client data, sales processes, and vendor information.
