You will be responsible for leading and managing all core financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash management, and compliance. This role requires close collaboration with the leadership team and key stakeholders to build financial strategy, support decision-making, and drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations

• Lead end-to-end finance functions such as payroll, vendor payments, and accounts receivables.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements including PF, PT, GST, and other regulatory mandates.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support strategic planning and operational decisions.
• Drive the budgeting and forecasting processes, coordinating closely with department leaders to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage cash flow, oversee working capital, and ensure effective cash management practices.

Stakeholder Management & Strategic Support

• Maintain strong relationships with investors, banks, auditors, and other external partners.
• Support fundraising activities with financial projections, investor-ready presentations, and analysis.
• Guide leadership on financial insights, trends, and risk mitigation strategies.

Governance & Process Excellence

• Establish and refine financial policies, internal controls, and operational procedures.
• Drive cost optimisation by monitoring cost structures and recommending efficiency initiatives.
• Oversee statutory audits, preferably with Big 4 audit firms, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

• 4+ years of experience in finance controllership, accounting, or related roles.
• Excited by the challenge of building and scaling a finance function from the ground up.
• Comfortable working as a generalist and navigating the ambiguity of an early-stage environment.
• Deep knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and reporting.
• Experience in SaaS finance or accounting is a strong advantage.
