Role Objectives:
The WEP Clinical Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing supply chain activities for WEP Clinical projects. This role supports business development, ensures operational readiness for new programs, manages vendor qualification and onboarding, oversees multinational logistics, and serves as the primary escalation point for project managers. The Supply Chain Specialist will work cross-functionally with Warehousing Operations, Logistics, Procurement, and Production teams to ensure seamless project execution and compliance.

The WEP Clinical Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing supply chain activities for WEP Clinical projects. This role supports business development, ensures operational readiness for new programs, manages vendor qualification and onboarding, oversees multinational logistics, and serves as the primary escalation point for project managers. The Supply Chain Specialist will work cross-functionally with Warehousing Operations, Logistics, Procurement, and Production teams to ensure seamless project execution and compliance.

What You'll Do:
- Serve as the primary Supply Chain representative in Project Kick-Off Meetings, defining strategy and requirements for new programs.
- Review and validate Work Orders and QTAs to ensure supply chain capabilities and obligations are clear and achievable.
- Develop and maintain Product Supply Plans aligned with quality, regulatory, and project teams.
- Support Business Development with budgeting, cost drivers, and logistical feasibility for all program types.
- Set up and qualify supply chain vendors (Couriers, IoRs, 3PLs, local agents) to meet compliance standards.
- Prepare and review shipment documentation templates, including customs and commercial invoices, packing lists, and courier booking forms.
- Lead operational readiness for new programs, including ERP setup, project instructions, and warehouse team training.
- Oversee multinational logistics, customs processes, and trade compliance.
- Manage vendor performance to ensure project milestones and service expectations are met.
- Act as the primary escalation point and liaison for supply chain-related issues.
- Develop and track supply chain KPIs and reporting (inventory, shipments, performance metrics).
- Maintain compliant supply chain documentation (SOPs, work instructions, training records) and drive continuous process improvements.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, life sciences, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical or clinical supply chain management, preferably in an international context
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, vendor management, and multinational logistics
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and strong problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Experienced in vendor and stakeholder management
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
