Principal Facilities Mechanical Engineer

Job Overview

BROAD FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Lead, manage and take ownership on the overall operational health of the HVAC and Mechanical system
  2. Maintain, operate all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, building management system, and equipment repairs
  3. Manage capacity and design changes according to the requirements from manufacturing/customers
  4. Conduct and execute facility system improvements on reliability hardening, safety performance as well as cost optimization and reduction
  5. Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations.
  6. Monitor and supervise HVAC preventive maintenance outsource service contracts
  7. Maintain compliance to local city and state government requirement and overall country legal legislation, ordinances and codes of practices.
  8. Liaison with relevant local government agencies and contractors
  9. Engage and liaison with consultants on mechanical system design and construction.
  10. Respond to emergencies.
  11. Comply with all safety procedures, practices and requirements
  12. Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required
  13. Attend training sessions and seminars and other assigned tasks as requested.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To establish the operation procedure, system monitoring & repair maintenance of responsible sections
  2. To review & analyze the operating data to optimize the Facilities operating system
  3. To support production / manufacturing needs and request
  4. To team up with all the facilities peers & contractors in troubleshooting the Facilities system
  5. To identified & drive the cost saving & improvement program
  6. To supervise contractor engineer and technician, routine job to ensure the HVAC & Mechanical system supporting production comply to specification and government regulation
  7. Exposure & experience in RODI/WWTP system.
  8. To plan, organize, execute & control for the specific project
  9. To ensure compliance to IMS requirement, Contamination Control, 5S & Safety
  10. To liaise with contractor, consultant on the facilities related matters
  11. To coordinate the major plan shutdown maintenance
  12. To carry out special task as assigned by supervisor
  13. To support the activities to the company needs
