Job Overview
- Provides accurate and timely local subject matter expertise pertaining to import and export requirements to business teams.
- A single point of contact for Western Digital Regional Business Units/Functions, Brokers/Carriers for import and export compliance requirement
- Supports new business model and legal entity set up in the region.
- Roll out Broker Management Program within the region including managing KPI’s.
- Pro-actively engages with key business partners to support/manage and resolve market access challenges & respond to customs queries/audits.
- Implements Global Trade Compliance Policies with respective business & Functional teams.
- Owns regional internal control program (ICP)
- Provides trainings to business stakeholders on operational requirements that aligns with company’s Trade Policies
- Independently leads and drive complex compliance projects and initiatives to successful closure.
- Supports investigation of potential violations and collaborates with Trade Compliance management to prepare voluntary disclosures and track corrective actions.
- Participates in the planning and execution of compliance assessments.
- Maintains a strong rapport with relevant regulatory authorities and represents WD in Industry forums
- Identify and recommends process improvements and simplifications.
- Pro-actively communicates and shares regulatory changes impacting the business in the region.
- Ensuring accurate and detailed record keeping.
- Ability to influence a particular business across functions and/or regions.
- Actively participates in developing regional compliance operations strategy and annual plan of action
