Senior Research Support Officer - Research Services (3 Roles)

  • 3 x Full-Time (35 hours per week) positions based at Penrith Campus
  • Remuneration: $138,029 to $153,227 p.a. including Super & Leave loading
  • Support research excellence 

The Opportunity 
This role is pivotal in managing the administrative aspects of the research income lifecycle, partnering with academic staff to develop, submit, and oversee competitive research grants, tenders, and all forms of research income. As a Senior Research Support Officer, you will act as a subject matter expert across multiple areas of research income generation, providing strategic guidance and operational excellence. Leading a small, high-performing team, you will ensure deadlines are met and activities are delivered to the highest possible standard, driving success in securing and managing research funding. 

This is a full-time, ongoing position based at our Penrith Campus (Kingswood), with hybrid working arrangements available.

About You 
You will have:

  • Degree qualification with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and expertise.
  • Extensive experience in research administration, grant or business management within a university or research environment.
  • Strong knowledge of research funding schemes, tenders, and administration across the research income lifecycle.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to high-quality service delivery.
  • Excellent organisational skills and proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing high-performing staff within an inclusive and supportive workplace.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 8 $138,029 to $153,227 p.a. (comprising Salary of $116,636 to $129,479 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
