Join the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Science as an Engagement Assistant, where each day brings new opportunities to collaborate, coordinate and contribute to the vibrant community that defines Western Sydney University.
Working closely with the Student and Learning Support Manager and Engagement Officers, you will support high impact engagement initiatives across the Faculty. From coordinating industry events to supporting school outreach and partnership activities, you will play an important part in bringing the Faculty’s engagement strategy to life. You will play an important role in supporting programs that build relationships with industry, schools, academic partners and community organisations.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys relationship building, event coordination and working collaboratively across multiple Schools. No two days will be the same, and you will directly support the Faculty’s broader engagement goals.
What Success Looks Like
- Supporting stakeholder relationship development through events, communication and coordination.
- Maintaining accurate stakeholder information and records.
- Providing logistical and administrative support to Faculty and School-based engagement activities.
- Coordinating internship, mentoring and scholarship opportunities with external partners.
- Assisting with delegation visits, workshops and on-campus school engagement experiences.

About You
- Tertiary qualifications and or relevant experience — education sector experience is a bonus!
- Strong competency in Microsoft Office, Adobe and related platforms.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Strong relationship building capability and collaborative working approach.
- Proven solutions-focused mindset with sound analytical skills.
- Flexibility to support occasional after-hours events.
- Holding a current, valid driver licence and being willing and able to travel across campuses regularly.
