The Opportunity
As a Senior Domestic Admissions Officer, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant and student‑focused admissions services for future Western Sydney University students. Working within the Student Administration and Registrar’s Office, you will support the end‑to‑end assessment, processing and coordination of domestic admissions applications, ensuring high standards of integrity and operational efficiency.

You will assess applications, maintain accurate data across university and UAC systems, prepare reports for operational and compliance needs, and collaborate with internal stakeholders across faculties, schools, marketing, digital services and student administration teams. Your work ensures that applicants receive timely, accurate advice and that admissions activity meets regulatory, policy and service requirements.

The role also contributes to continuous improvement in admissions operations, including updating procedures and web content, implementing new systems or process enhancements, and supporting key recruitment events such as Open Day. This position suits someone who is comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, managing competing priorities, and committed to a strong service culture.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in administrative or high‑volume service environments, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with corporate information systems, including data management and reporting.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate university or regulatory policies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including experience improving processes.
